What happens on 1 October 2026
World Rugby describes it as “your next opportunity to secure tickets for the biggest Men’s Rugby World Cup in history.” Two things matter about the wording. It is first-come, first-served, which means being registered and logged in before the window opens is worth more than anything else you can do. And it is described as the next opportunity rather than the last — further releases normally follow once pools and fixtures firm up.

You can already buy, if you don’t want to wait
Every match is on sale now through official ticket-inclusive hospitality and travel packages from Rugby World Cup Experiences, World Rugby’s official provider of premium experiences and travel for RWC 2027. Packages cost considerably more than a general-sale seat because they bundle hospitality, and sometimes flights and hotels, with the ticket. For a supporter flying from the UK or Ireland who wants a guaranteed seat at a specific match, that certainty is the entire point. For anyone flexible on which game they attend, waiting for 1 October is cheaper.
The seven host cities
Australia is very large, and this is the part travelling supporters underestimate. Perth to Townsville is further than London to Moscow. Plan the internal flights before you commit to matches in more than two cities.
